Mawa – The Escape Artist

For the first several years after arriving at Ngamba, Mawa’s favorite activity was jumping the 15-foot high electric fence and running around the compound while his human caregivers chased him – he thought it was a great game. As he grew into a strong, powerful adult, Mawa had to be confined to the large sleeping quarters for his own safety. Today, they keep Mawa active and engaged through enrichment activities and climbing structures. One of his favorite treats is pineapple and we know he would love to be adopted so he can receive even more toys and treats.
