Peace – The Activist

Peace is one of the few chimpanzees, possibly the only chimpanzee in the world to ‘testify’ in court against the illegal wildlife trade. Confiscated from a hotel where she was being held, she brought a significant amount of attention to this critical global issue. At 30 years old she now lives a more quiet life at Ngamba but isn’t afraid to stand up for herself and will let other individuals know if they are bothering her. Adopting Peace helps give all the chimps at Ngamba a powerful voice.
